Scared of spice? Feel free to use bell pepper in place of the jalapeño.
Need the heat? Add as much jalapeño as your heart desires!
Dips by nature are incredibly flexible so feel free to add more garlic, lime, salt… basically anything you feel like kicking up a notch. I’d suggest making it as written, test it out with a few tortilla chip or cuke slices, and then add anything else you’re craving more of.
The above measurements made my taste buds ridiculously happy and I love how freakishly fast this dip comes together.

so… how was it?!
This healthy veggie dip is crazy amazing! This is the kind of dip you wind up going back for “just one more bite” so many times that you finally cave and hover over the bowl like it’s your sole duty to protect it from double dippers.
If you’re feeling extra spring-y, add this tasty tortellini salad to this week’s menu too!

This dip is AMAZING!! It far exceeds any expectations that I had. I used a whole jalapeno and just squeezed a lime without measuring the juice- regardless it was fantastic. I couldn’t stop eating it.
Jenn
So so so glad you loved it! We make this one a lot!

I couldn’t find cannellini beans, but I just happened to have a couple of cups of romano beans that I have over-soaked. (Forgot them, softening in the crock pot, until they were almost entirely mush. Gross for eating straight, but *perfect* for a dip!)
This dip is soooo good, I had to fight the urge to just eat it with a spoon. And no, I didn’t entirely succeed. I have already made it twice, and shared the recipe with some foodie friends, and I will for sure be making it again!

I love dips and this looks so good. I am looking forward to making it for Easter. Thanks for the recipe.
Linda
I love this dip! It looks beautifully creamy, which I’m sure the avocado has a lot to do with, and it’s got garlic and jalapeno to give it that added boost to flavor. I am definitely going to be making this for my next get-together and, since my daughter is gluten-free, it’s perfect to make for our family too. All I can say is yum!
Mimi
This sounds wonderful! And thank you for not putting tahini in this dip!
Jenn
Thank you Mimi! Hope you get a chance to try it 🙂
Shannon
Looks yum! How long does it last in the fridge for?
Jenn
About 4 days I believe!
Mary @ Fit and Fed
Easy, healthy, what more could you want? Well, I could have wanted the Seahawks to go to the Superbowl so I could have served this at home at a Superbowl party!

I have made this several times. I punch it up with extra pepper. Absolutely incredible, people at work go ape over this stuff. All of you who are commenting that you have to try it, just do it. Think jalapeño-cilantro hummus without the grainy texture…super creamy
Jenn
You’re the best Ken; thanks for the rave review! Extra pepper is always welcome here! 🙂

Looks so good! I love avocados. Stumbled!
Jenn @ Peas and Crayons
So happy to hear it! Ohmygosh and LOL about the jalapenos; I seem to always pick the spiciest one in the bunch! I bet habanero would give it a nice jump too!
Vicki
Hi Jenni,
I had the dip at a friend’s party. Delish, but can’t find anywhere how many servings/cups it makes. I’d rather use up a whole avocado but don’t want to end up with a dip volcano. ?. Can you enlighten us? Thx!
Jenn
Ahhhh yes absolutely! So glad you enjoyed the dip!
The dip recipe makes a little over 2 cups of dip, so for the whole avocado you’d probably have 4.5 cups of deliciousness to snack on. Alternatively you can 100% add the whole avocado into the dip as is and then just adjust the lime/garlic/cilantro/jalapeño/salt to taste so the flavors shine though!
DudeThatCooks
Just made it…OUTSTANDING!! It’s funny, I must have grabbed the mildest jalapenos in the world, so had to doctor it up with cayenne pepper to get some of the *kick* I was wanting. What’s crazy is, I’m sure it will taste even BETTER tomorrow after the flavors have an opportunity to get to know each other in the fridge overnight! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
