Veggie Platter and Dip Recipes

Veggie platters are one of my favorite party appetizers to make in advance.

Raw veggies can easily be washed, sliced, and stored in the fridge ahead of time plus cold veggie dip is so simple to make in advance and tastes even better the next day!

Today’s post features my full collection of vegetable platters, snack boards, appetizer boards, vegetarian friendly charcuterie boards, and cheese boards galore, along with links to my go-to cold dip recipes to serve with them.

What veggies are good for a platter?

There are so many tasty options when it comes to crudite. Choose your favorites and mix and match for a veggie platter that rocks your socks. Any veggie that tastes great eaten raw will be fantastic for your veggie board!

  • carrot sticks or baby carrots
  • celery sticks
  • broccoli florets
  • cauliflower florets
  • sliced bell pepper
  • cucumber sticks or slices
  • sliced radish
  • cherry tomatoes
  • sugar snap peas
  • halved sweet mini peppers

Your veggie platter can easily be vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten-free depending on your choice of dip and dippers. Choose your favorites and have fun with it!

What else can i add to a veggie tray?

  • sliced or cubed cheese
  • crostini or sliced/torn baguette
  • fresh pita bread or pita chips
  • pretzels
  • crackers
  • assorted nuts
  • assorted olives and/or pickles
  • fresh fruit

Of course you can’t have a veggie board without the dip!

You can use a single dip for your vegetable platter or opt for a few different kids. I usually add a kid-friendly option like hummus or ranch and then something a little fancier for the adults.
