whipped goat cheese with honey and roasted tomatoes

I think I must be subconsciously be getting ready for pool and backyard party season because I have been dreaming up allllll the dip recipes lately!

The kiddo has been fueling the fire asking for “snacky dinner” on the regular, which is basically where I grab a bunch of cheeses, dips, and crudite, and add some crackers, torn baguette or pita, and fresh fruit. That’s it. That’s the dinner. It’s kind of like a charcuterie situation but without meat.

We do this at least once a week, usually on a school night when we have after school soccer practice and very little time to function.

This creamy whipped goat cheese dip is my latest obsession. It’s so flipping good!

The combination of honey and goat cheese is my absolute favorite. Gah! So good! When it comes to your toppings, the possibilities are endless. For the photos I went with savory roasted tomatoes kissed with sea salt and topped with basil. It would also be amazing with my Marinated Cherry Tomatoes or Greek Bruschetta topping.

Another awesome option would be to add a dollop of your favorite jam to the center of the whipped goat cheese. Fig jam, apricot jam, blueberry jam, strawberry preserves, or anything that you absolutely love with goat cheese will be an awesome addition for some sweet and savory goodness.

Toasted nuts or candied nuts are always a delish topping option too as are olives or olive tapenade.

Can I make it in advance?

Need to make your whipped goat cheese ahead of time for a party? You can absolutely prep it in advance and store it in the fridge for 1-3 days before serving. When you’re ready to dig in, simply set it on the counter for 15-20 minutes to soften slightly before mixing well and adding your favorite toppings.
