3oz.Cachaçaor other clear liquor
3-4Ripe Strawberries
Fresh Basilto taste
Sugarto taste
1Limecut into wedges
Club Sodaas desired
Instructions
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass for flavor.
Muddle the strawberries, basil, sugar and 3 lime wedges in the glass.
Add the Cachaça and stir, remove the limes, then add ice.
Top with a splash of club soda to taste, and garnish with a strawberry.
Notes
No Cachaça? No worries! This cocktail is also great with rum or vodka.The Caipirinha is traditionally served in a rocks glass with crushed ice. I don’t have an ice crusher, so I just serve it on the rocks. I do the same when I make it with Rum. If you’re making it with vodka, skip the club soda.
