Ingredients
1cupplain Greek yogurt(plain, vanilla, honey, or berry)
The blackberry syrup can be made in advance and kept in the fridge to drizzle on all your breakfast favorites. To make the syrup, combine blackberries, water, and sugar together in a small saucepan over low heat, whisking occasionally until sugar is dissolved, approx. 5 minutes.
Net increase heat to medium and bring it to a gentle bubbling boil, stirring often, until thickened, approx. 15 minutes.
Mash berries well with a fork (or blend with an immersion blender) and strain through a sieve/strainer for a thick, smooth syrup. For a compote, feel free to leave the mixture chunky! After syrup has cooled, stir in lemon juice and seal/store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Add choice of yogurt to a bowl and drizzle with blackberry syrup. Use a spoon to lightly swirl ribbons of purple syrup through the yogurt.
Top with granola and fresh berries and add any of your favorite extras from the topping list above. Enjoy!
