What I Ate Wednesday – Sleep Deprived

Mornin’ loves! <– that feels like cheating, I’m totally writing this the night before! I’m going to keep things short and sweet today because I have a huge stack of books next to my bed that are calling my name. They’re also TRIPPING me every time I get out of bed. Jerks.

I also may or may not have a few more on the way. I have a book problem, we’ve established this. My kindle and my bookshelf runneth over and it’s getting a bit out of hand. Let’s not even talk about what’s currently happening with my DVR… I think I’m going to start carving out designated binge-reading and binge-watching nights so I can catch up. Sleep? What’s that?

I don’t need no stinkin’ sleep!

Lies, I need all the sleep! Pass the melatonin, por favor! Er… or at least pass me something to eat!

Let’s get our WIAW on:

What I Ate Wednesday

egg and cheese breakfast sandwich

breakfast: I gave the cereal and bagels a break and whipped up a 2-egg and cheese sandwich on toasted garlic bread!

Hawaiian roll sushi

lunch: grocery store sushi, my favorite treat for braving those uber-long checkout lines and crazy traffic!

Chicken Parmesan Soup

dinner: the same thing I’ve been having every night this week: yummy leftover Chicken Parmesan Soup! I have a metric ton in the freezer too as well as a few cups stashed away for my xfit partner in crime. Now if only I could stop myself from singing “SOUP! There it is!” while eating. My nineties are showing. How embarrassing.

  • I’m totally stealing that line for the next time I make soup… which will probably be ANOTHER batch of your broccoli cheese crack because the BF is a little obsessed (and he ate my whole last batch!)

  • Every one of your meals looked better than the last one. I love having tons of soup on hand.

But man, am I jealous that your supermarket sushi is decent. I’m not sure I’d trust the stuff in my store. 🙂

  • I pretty much have switched to a kindle, but I always used to have the overflowing stack of books by my bed!

  • Your food always looks amazing! <3

  • That looks like one freakin’ fabulous day of eats! I love cheesy things and I love sushi.

  • Hi Jenn! As always, thanks for hosting the link-up party. No snacks for you?? By the way, I’m a big fan of grocery store sushi, especially when it’s brown rice. Happy Wednesday! 🙂

    • Jenn

Haha no, not daily! Some days are super snacky and some I’m either so busy or my meals fill me up! I’m still recovering from the GI surgery I had last month so it’s a tad ridiculous how full I get. That should change eventually as I heal fully =)

  • Nicole Kathryn

  • You know as you scroll down a post and you think of what you want to say in the comments?
My first thought was oh my goodness that breakfast looks delicious!! And then I saw the sushi… holy moly!!!
I’m not the biggest sushi fan, but let me tell you put that on my plate I would be a changed woman.

Hope you are having a wonderful week. 🙂
