I’m literally averaging about an hour or two of sleep per night lately and I can’t for the life of me figure out why. My doctors are flat out stumped, and nearly every suggestion they’ve thrown at me has backfired and left me tossing and turning. I fall asleep like a champ and then POOF! — an hour later I’m up and positively wired. I’ve tried valerian, melatonin, and even ambien [which I’m surprisingly immune to… weird!] as well as sleepytime teas, exercise, and avoiding technology before bed. Whether my day is uber-active day or low-key, the result is always the same: no sleep til Brooklyn! Ugh. Make it stop.
I’m totally going to end up in a padded room if I don’t get some sleep soon. Seriously. It’s only a matter of time before I start hallucinating again.In the meantime, while I try to sort this mess out, I’ve basically been eating my feelings.
It’s basically all I crave. Though the day I chose to photograph was a bit of a hot mess, I’ve been trying really hard to balance my nutrients. I’ve been adding in fresh fruit and veggies wherever I can get them and eating a lot more fish, nuts, and lean proteins too. Hopefully things just magically click and I can catch up on sleep soon. I miss it so.
