breakfast strawberry goji greek yogurt, black coffee, and a banana lunch #1 recipe testing of my new soup recipe [posting tomorrow! yay!] turned into a larger than expected taste test.  I downed a whole freaking bowl of the stuff! lunch #2 late lunch date [early dinner?] with my NC ladies at Panera Bread: greek salad and 1/2 a tuna sandwich with a crusty, chewy baguette on the side snackage I was too stuffed from my lunches to eat a proper dinner but I did manage to scarf down some snacks!  My go-to crinkle cut carrot “chips” and some wafer thin cracker crisps with fig spread and brie.  Throughout the day I managed to snack a second cup of black coffee, a few cups of water [not nearly enough. eek! I’ll do better this week!] and two mugs of candy cane lane green tea.  Looking back I went a little heavier on the grains than normal and a little lighter on water than I should have.  But I had LOTS of fruit and veggies – so I’m happy!

So naturally, we’re talking about FOOD!  Healthy recipes that you whip up to keep your friends and family healthy a the cookie-laced holiday craze.  Of course we couldn’t mention food without fitness, so I’d love to see or heat about your winter workout routine as well!  Keep the inspiration coming!
Healthy Holiday Recipes
So this week I’m going to share a few of my own favorite recipes for holiday parties and gatherings, but the next few weeks I’d love to feature a few of YOUR healthy holiday recipes too!  Add a few of your favorites to your WIAW posts so I can stalk them and I’ll pick a few to share each week =)
Here are a few party-friendly eats from my arsenal.  
Hopefully I’ll be able to recipe test like a maniac this month and come up with a few more.
and because I just realize I posted an appetizer smorgasboard,

    Yes to the cheesecake spread! I made that all last winter. I know this about healthy… but I can’t wait for that cookie recipe you posted pics of earlier! :)

    Oh that fig spread is SO good. We used to sell it at Central Market…in the cheese section, naturally. That, a few Marcona almonds…in fact, I think I’d like it spread on a Marcona almond butter sandwich right about now. :)

    You’re healthy holiday treats look SO good…haven’t eaten yet today so I’m drooling at those cucumbers. Love Fage yogurt and all the rest of your food sounds delish. Thanks for hosting…wish I’d have gotten better shots of my food yesterday but I was rushing like a mad woman all day and my camera was dying so the pics are bad quality…plus some at night. :/-

    I’m such a snacker sometimes and more times than not, I would rather eat snacky food than a real meal! Sometimes the hubs and I will have an “appetizer night” where we will eat nothing but homemade apps. It’s our way of using up whatever is about to go rancid in the fridge. Also, we had a long discussion about this, and I have decided to change out my standard Wednesday “Skinny On Me Post” and join this party instead! I’ve been stalking it for almost a year now so I think it’s high time I join in on the fun. Next Wednesday will be my first one! *can’t wait*
